THE CREATION

In 2006, Jean-Claude Ellena created Terre d’Hermès, an Eau that takes man back to his origins, to the source of his creative power. Terre d’Hermès tells the story of man’s relationship with the earth, his respectful and harmonious dialogue with nature and the elements. Since 2016, Christine Nagel, Hermès master perfumer, has set her sights on Terre, exploring its new potential.

THE OLFACTORY NOTES

A mineral and woody fragrance, Terre d’Hermès combines the power of cedar and the splendor of grapefruit with a vibrant note of silica.

THE OBJECT

On one side, the earth: the bottle rests on an orange H, which leaves a footprint on the ground. On the other, the sky: the light reflects on the metal shoulders. Between the two, the transparency of water.

THE HERMÈS DETAIL

Once in the hand, the Terre d’Hermès bottle reveals numerous details: the emblematic “clou de selle” of the House and the sliding cap that hides the spray. Created by designer Philippe Mouquet, it is inspired by a travel bottle kept at the Emile Hermès museum
